Questions, answered

When should I take it?

Around 30 minutes before you eat. Bitter roots like dandelion and milk thistle have been taken ahead of a meal in European herbal tradition for centuries - the aperitif hour exists for a reason, and this is that idea in its older, simpler form.

Up to 15 drops in a small glass of water, or stirred into a cup of tea.

What does it taste like?

Properly bitter, with warmth from turmeric and ginger underneath. Bitterness is the point here rather than a flaw - it's what these roots are prized for, and it's why a small glass of water carries it better than a large one.

Does it contain alcohol?

Yes - it's a traditional alcohol extraction, the way tinctures have been made for centuries, because alcohol draws out compounds water alone leaves behind. At 15 drops in a glass of water the amount is very small, but if you avoid alcohol entirely, our teas cover the same hours of the day.

How long does a bottle last?

Taken daily at the full 15 drops, a 50ml bottle lasts around two months. Used before larger meals only, considerably longer.

Is it suitable during pregnancy, breastfeeding, or alongside anything I already take?

Herbal traditions have always treated pregnancy as its own season, with certain botanicals set aside for it - so it's worth a quick word with your midwife, GP or a qualified herbalist before adding any new blend to your day. The same goes if you already have a routine you're working around.

To make that conversation easy, we print the complete ingredient list on every pouch and every product page. Nothing hidden, nothing vague, no "proprietary blend" - so whoever you ask has the full picture in front of them.
