Questions, answered

When should I take it?

Any hour you like - this is the gentlest of the three, and it isn't tied to mealtimes or bedtime. Morning, mid-afternoon, evening: whenever it suits.

Up to 15 drops in a small glass of water, or stirred into a cup of tea.

What does it taste like?

Subtly sweet and gently earthy, with a golden warmth from liquorice root. Mullein and marshmallow leaf give it a soft, hay-sweet roundness - it's the easiest of our tinctures to take neat in water.

Does it contain alcohol?

Yes - a traditional alcohol extraction, the way tinctures have been made for centuries. At 15 drops in a glass of water the amount is very small, but if you avoid alcohol entirely, our teas cover the same ground.

How long does a bottle last?

Taken daily at the full 15 drops, a 50ml bottle lasts around two months. Used occasionally, considerably longer.

Is it suitable during pregnancy, breastfeeding, or alongside anything I already take?

Herbal traditions have always treated pregnancy as its own season, with certain botanicals set aside for it - so it's worth a quick word with your midwife, GP or a qualified herbalist before adding any new blend to your day. The same goes if you already have a routine you're working around.

To make that conversation easy, we print the complete ingredient list on every pouch and every product page. Nothing hidden, nothing vague, no "proprietary blend" - so whoever you ask has the full picture in front of them.
