Questions, answered
I'm cutting down on coffee - is this a good swap?
It's the blend we'd point you to. Dandelion and burdock roots bring an earthy, almost roasted depth, and ginger, galangal and black pepper give it a warmth that feels substantial in the hand and in the mouth - the things people usually miss about coffee.
No caffeine, so there's nothing to come down from later.
Is it spicy-hot?
Warming rather than hot. The spice builds gently and closes with a quiet heat from black pepper at the very end. Comfort, not challenge.
What colour does it brew?
A deep golden amber, almost bronze - turmeric and roasted-tasting dandelion root give it a richness you can see before you taste it.
Every colour in the cup comes from the plants themselves. No colourings, no fillers, no preservatives, nothing synthetic - just what the flowers, roots and berries give up in hot water.
Just roots, seeds and spice in hot water. Nature's magick, and nothing else.
Do I have to do the guided ritual?
It's complimentary and optional - a companion to the cup rather than a requirement.
Spice & Roots is paired with the cleansing and release ritual: the one for putting down whatever the day piled on you before you carry it into the evening. Scan the QR code on the pack.
How is this different from an everyday teabag?
Everyday blends are built for uniformity: fine-milled material, mixed by the pallet, months on a shelf. This is blended by hand in London in batches small enough to taste, from whole roots and seeds - and every ingredient is listed, so you always know exactly what's in your cup.
How long will a pack actually last?
The 50g loose leaf pouch makes up to 60 cups; the 14 biodegradable teabags make up to 40. Roots are dense, so the pouch goes further than it looks - a hand-blended cup for well under 50p.
Is it suitable during pregnancy, breastfeeding, or alongside anything I already take?
Herbal traditions have always treated pregnancy as its own season, with certain botanicals set aside for it - so it's worth a quick word with your midwife, GP or a qualified herbalist before adding any new blend to your day. The same goes if you already have a routine you're working around.
To make that conversation easy, we print the complete ingredient list on every pouch and every product page. Nothing hidden, nothing vague, no "proprietary blend" - so whoever you ask has the full picture in front of them.
