Questions, answered
When is the best time to drink it?
Before or after eating, whichever suits you - and it's just as good as a last cup at the end of the day, letting everything settle overnight. It's caffeine-free, so there's no hour of the day it doesn't belong to.
One teaspoon, freshly boiled water, 5-7 minutes.
What does it actually taste like?
Softly sweet and floral, with warm spice from cinnamon, anise and cloves, and a rounded body from marshmallow root. Comforting and easy - much closer to gentle bakery warmth than to anything you'd have to brace yourself for.
What colour does it brew?
A warm golden amber with a faint rose blush, deepening the longer you leave it.
Every colour in the cup comes from the plants themselves. No colourings, no fillers, no preservatives, nothing synthetic - just what the flowers, roots and berries give up in hot water.
That's the closest thing to magick we deal in: nature's own, and nothing else in the pouch.
Do I have to do the guided ritual?
Not at all - it's complimentary and completely optional, and the tea stands on its own without it.
Each blend is paired with its own short guided audio, designed for what that particular cup is for. Tummy Tea's is grounding and soothing: slow breath, stillness, and a few minutes of not being needed by anyone. Scan the QR code on the pack whenever you fancy the fuller experience.
How long will a pack actually last?
The 50g loose leaf pouch makes up to 60 cups; the 14 biodegradable teabags make up to 40. Brewed daily, that's one to two months of rituals from a single pack - a hand-blended cup for well under 50p.
Is it suitable during pregnancy, breastfeeding, or alongside anything I already take?
Herbal traditions have always treated pregnancy as its own season, with certain botanicals set aside for it - so it's worth a quick word with your midwife, GP or a qualified herbalist before adding any new blend to your day. The same goes if you already have a routine you're working around.
To make that conversation easy, we print the complete ingredient list on every pouch and every product page. Nothing hidden, nothing vague, no "proprietary blend" - so whoever you ask has the full picture in front of them.
